The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the creation of an independent Fund that will provide economic support to WHO’s efforts to address the most pressing health challenges worldwide
The Fund will provide financial support to the work of WHO and partners to achieve the goals by 2023 to ensure the protection of 1 billion people from health emergencies
The Fund is a legal entity independent of WHO and will help raise funds from donations from citizens, individual major donors and corporate partners. This financial assistance will be directed towards the implementation of the programs of WHO and partners.
